Mumford and Sons; The Rise of Folk Rock

Mumford and Sons is a British folk rock band formed in 2007. Since then, the band has gained much fame and that may be because of the popularity of folk rock rising when Mumford and Sons had just formed.
The band members include Marcus Mumford, Winston Marshall, Ben Lovett, and Ted Dwane.
They released their first album, "Sigh No More," in 2009. personally, I love the whole album. I feel they are able to contribute something great and a little different in each song. I really like how cymbals were amazing in their song, "Thistle and Weeds." I find it is hard to use cymbals without it sounding overdone, choppy, or just out of place, but I think they did great with the cymbals in this song. Mumford and Sons do not tend to use a lot of drums and when they do it is very quiet and almost unnoticeable but in a way the guitar seems to keep a beat the way the drums normally would. In the song "I Gave You All," you can really tell. I would recommend buying this whole album because I found something to love about nearly every song.
"Babel," Mumford and Sons' second album, was released on September 24, 2012. "Babel" hit number one on the UK Albums Chart as well as the US Billboard 200. This album contained " I Will Wait," one of the band's best selling singles. "I Will Wait" was rated 13 in line for the best song of the year by Rolling Stone. I love many songs on this album but my favorite has to be, " Lover of the Light," because I like the overall sound and lyrics of this song. I also like the song "Babel," I like the banjo and the way it fits with the bass drum, it makes for a song that you can tap your fingers along to. This is an album where you will find only about 5 or 6 songs that you like but those 5 or 6 could be different for everyone.
I think Mumford and Sons has a song for everyone, and so you should check them out.
